St. Amand, a well known and aged lady of the Plaisance neighborhood, died at the family residence. Mrs. St. Amand before marriage, was Miss Mary Alex Lambert, a member of a prominent family of that section of St. Landry parish. Mrs. St. Amand leaves seven children to mourn her departure. She was 69 years, 4 months and 17 days. The funeral took place from the family residence near Plaisance at 9 o'clock Sunday morning. Services were held at the Catholic church in this city and interment in the Catholic cemetery. A large number of friends and relatives of the deceased attended the funeral.
