Taylor and Delia Garriques, died in Iota, at the home of his sister, Mrs. L. A. Clark, on Thursday night, November 15, after an illness of nearly two years. Deceased was a member of an old and influential St. Landry family, being a grandson of Judge Adolphe Garriques, prominent in political and business circles in the old days. He was a nephew of Mrs. Cecelia C. Andrus, and was well-known among the younger generation of this city. He was a brother of Mrs. Frank McKnight, of Crowley; Mrs. Dupre and Miss Cecelia Taylor, of Thibodeaux; Henry Taylor, of Jennings; John Taylor, of New Iberia; Mrs. L. A. Clark and Miss Marelou Taylor, of Iota. The funeral services were held from the Catholic church in Iota at three o'clock Friday afternoon with interment in the catholic cemetery in that city.
