Mrs. Arthur Veltin Passes in Death

After days of suffering and pain this estimable lady passed serenely into 
the great beyond, Thursday at 12:50 in the morning, surrounded by her 
sorrowing family. Her's was a life of devotion to husband and children, and 
great indeed will be the void in the stricken household at her death.

Mrs. Veltin was the daughter of our good citizen C. Mornhinveg and in her 
young womanhood married Mr. Arthur Veltin, a prominent planter and business 
man of Bellevue. Two children survive her, Toby and Miss Neita, both of whom 
have countless friends here who join in their grief, and offer their sincere 
condolences.

The deceased possessed many qualities of mind and heart, which endeared her 
to every one who came in contact with her, and her chritian (sic) fortitude 
throughout many months of intense suffering, challenged the admiration and 
sympathy of the entire community. That she has found a secure resting place 
in the great eternity where charity, kindness of heart and motherly devotion 
receive ample reward, there can be no doubt.

The funeral was conducted from the family residence in Bellevue Thursday 
afternoon at 4 o'clock and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.

NOTE: Julia Mornhinveg Veltin is buried in section 4 of the Saint Landry 
Catholic Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
