John W. Wallior, one of nature's nobleman, died at the residence of his brother, E. K. Wallior, in Opelousas at 2 o'clock Tuesday morning, March 24, 1908, aged 41 years. Mr. Wallior was engaged in the cotton sampling business at Lafayette, and some months ago, while playing with a friend, received a small scratch on the hand. This developed septic fever and subsequently blood poison. He came to his old home, where every care was taken of him, but after suffering much, the end came Tuesday. He was interred Tuesday evening at 5 o'clock, in the Catholic cemetery, after solemnization of the funeral rites in the Catholic church. St. Landry Clarion. A light from our household is gone, A voice we loved is still, A place is vacant in our home, That never can be filled. All is dark within our dwelling, Lonely are our hearts today; For the one we loved so dearly Has forever passed away. Edna and Rosa Wallior.
