A. and Mary E. Taylor, in the 10th year of his age. The sufferings of this tender and interesting child were of the most excruciating character. None of the numerous friends of the family, who anxiously gathered around little Willie's bedside, could look upon him with tearless eyes. An affliction of lameness, two years since, from a severe and long illness of Hip disease, had rendered him indeed an object of the most endearing solicitude to his parents and friends: - While the highest hopes were fondly entertained of the brilliancy of his intellect and his promise of future excellence. Alas! for the fond hopes of all who mourn his early departure. "How brief the space, even to the brave Between the cradle and the grave! Like lightning in the somber night, A moment seen, then lost to sight, Or like some frail, ephemeral flower That blooms and withers in an hour."
