Mr. Wright was buried in Opelousas on Sunday afternoon. In Iota, which place Mr. Wright lived for many years, the deceased was known and regarded as one of the most charitable, enterprising and progressive citizens, and his death came as a distinct shock especially to the citizens of that portion of Acadia, who loved and admired Mr. Wright. The deceased was also well known in Opelousas, being a brother-in-law of our distinguished townsman, Hon. William J. Sandoz. The Clarion deplores the fact that it failed to chronicle the death of such a splendid son of Louisiana and we trust that the bereaved family will readily understand that it was not done intentionally. We extend our condolence to the grief stricken family. Additional Comments: NOTE: George Wright is buried in section 3 of the Saint Landry Catholic Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. www.findagrave.com memorial # 95147744 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/stlandry/obits/w/wright5949gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/lafiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
