The deceased was a resident of Basile, Evangeline parish, and had been ill health for some time and was brought to the sanitarium here for treatment and many hopes were entertained that she would recover, but the efforts of the physician and nurses proved unavailling and she expired at the time stated. The remains were taken to the home of Mr. John Hidalgo, a friend of the family and the funeral was held here with services at the Catholic church and interment in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Yock's father, mother and family resided in Opelousas for many years, later moving to the western part of the parish. the Clarion extends its sympathies to the relatives of the deceased.
