Judge Benjamin Henry Pavy was born in Coulee Croche, October 16th, 1874, the 
son of the late Alfred Pavy, ex-Clerk of Court, and of Laperle Guidry. He was 
educated in the public schools of Grand Coteau, and moved with his family to 
Opelousas in 1890. He studied law under the then firm of Estilette & Dupre, 
and was admitted to practice by the Supreme Court in 1900. He enjoys a 
lucrative practice.

NOTE: Judge Benjamin Henry Pavy is buried in section 11 of the Saint Landry 
Catholic Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
