Washington Swain married Clara (Banks) Swain on May 5 1886 in St. Landry 
Louisiana.  They had 10 children 

Additional Comments:
I can't find information about his parentage and am hoping that this will help. I 
suspect that this biracial status means that I will not be able to.  Looking for 
his or her birth certificates/plantation information. She was born in 1845 in 
Lousiiana
