B. Roman Governor of the aforesaid State, and his successors in office, in the sum of five hundred dollars, for the payment of which; well and truly to be made, they bind themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally. In Witness Whereof, They have hereunto signed at Opelousas, this sixteenth day of December in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty-two. The Condition of the above Obligation is such, That Whereas the above bound Edmund Clark has this day obtained license to marry Miss Elen Dunks. Now if there should hereafter appear no legal impediment to said marriage then and in that case, the said obligation to be null and void, otherwise to remain in full force.
