The bride is the winsome and talented daughter of Mrs. Laurent Dupre, of Opelousas, and the groom os one of Lake Charles' rising young men. Both have the best wishes of a host of friends. The Gazette's account of the marriage is as follows: "A pretty woodland wedding occurred yesterday afternoon at "Happy Hill," near Busbee, the summer home of the charming bride, Miss Clevie Dupre of Opelousas, La. The groom was Oswald McNeese of Lake Charles, La. The ceremony was impressively read by Father Marion of Ashveille in a natural arbor under the wide spread trees that surround the pretty little bungalow. The bride, gowned in white embroidered mulle, wearing the long tulle veil caught with oramge blossoms and carrying brides roses, came into the space set aside for the ceremony leaning on the srm of her brother H. Garland Dupre of N. O., who arrived in Ashville a few days ago for the wedding and was met by the groom. There were no attendants. "The guests included Mrs. Arthur Palfry of N. O., Mrs. W. B. Prescott, cousins of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Murray and Mr. and Mrs. John Murray of Busbee, Mrs. J. C. Arbogast, Ralph Arbogast, Misses Bertha and Eula Argobast and Mrs. Butcher of Asheville. "Happy Hill" was prettily adorned with golden rod and evergreen for the occasion. The gifts were very beautiful and numerous. After the wedding dinner Mr. and Mrs. McNeese left for a short stay at Lake Foxaway, returning they will spend the remainder of their honeymoon at "Happy Hill" leaving next month for Lake Charles where their new home is ready for occupancy.
