To any Minister of the Gospel,Judge or Justice of the Peace of the 
Parish~~~Greeting:

   You are hereby authorized and empowered to unite in the Bonds of 
Matrimony,according to law and established rules,

Mr. D(aniel) S(parks) Edwards 
and Miss O(ctavia) C Winn or Wynn 
   And when you shall have done so, that you certify to same on the reverse 
hereof, yourself abd three witnesses, as required and return within thirty 
days to the office of the Clerk of the District Court in and for the said 
Parish of St. Landry. 
   Given under my hand and seal of office as John O Richard Dy Clerk of said 
Court, in and for the Parish of St. Landry.
