Marriage Bond
Camel Fontenot

No. 217
State of Louisiana,  Parish of St. Landry.

Know all Men by these Presents, That we Camel Fontenot as principal, and
Joubert Fontenot as security, are held and firmly bound unto the Governor of
the State of Louisiana, in the sum of three hundred dollars, for the payment
of which we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly
and severally, by these presents.

Dated at OPELOUSAS, this 11th  day of Nov(ember) 1897

Whereas, a license has been this day issued by the Dy Clerk District Court in
and for the Parish of St. Landry, to unite in the bonds of matrimony, the
above bound Camel Fontenot and Miss Oreline Guillory, Both of St. Landry
Parish, La. 

Now, therefore, the condition of the above obligation is such, that if there
 should exist no legal impediment to this alliance, then the above obligation
to be null and void, else, to remain in full force and virtue.

To Any Catholic Priest of the Parish of St. Landry, Greeting:

You are hereby authorized and empowered to unite in the bonds of matrimony,
according to law and established rules.

Mr. Camel Fontenot 
and Miss Oreline Guillory, both of St. Landry Parish La.

And when you shall have done so, that you make duplicate acts of the
celebration thereof, signed by yourself and three witnesses, as required by
law, one of which acts shall return within thirty days to the office of the
Clerk in and for the Parish of St. Landry, together with this license.

Given under my hand and seal of office, as Dy Clerk Dist Court, in and for the
Parish of St. Landry, the 11th day of Nov 1897
