Know all men by these presents Louis Charles Pitre and J. Fr.cs Pitre of the 
State of Louisiana and Parish of St. Landry are held and firmly bound unto 
Arnaud Beauvais acting Governor of the aforesaid State and to his successors in 
office in the sum of five hundred dollars, for this payment of which well and 
truly to be made they bind themselves, their heirs, ex.rs and administrators In 
witness Whereof they have hereunto signed and affixed their seals at Opelousas 
this tenth day od December in the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty 
nine.



The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound 
Louis Charles Pitre has this day obtained License to marry Felonise Joubert. 
Now therefore if there should be or hereafter appear no legal impediment to the 
said marriage, then and in that case the above obligation to void otherwise to 
remain in full force & virtue in law.

Additional Comments:
Louis Charles Pitre is the son of Charles Pitre & Catherine (Marie-Catherine) 
Vige. He was born Oct. 1808 and Christened 27 Nov. 1808 (Opel. Ch.: v. 1-B, pg. 
459). He died 2 Oct. 1847 (Opel. Ch.: v. 2, pg. 49)



Felonise Joubert is the daughter of Francois Joubert dit Belle Rose & Helene 
Sophie Doucet. She was born 5 Nov. 1809 and Christened on 9 Sept. 1810 (Opel. 
Ch.: v. 1-B, pg. 508).
