(Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, July 22, 1905, Image 3 Chachere - Meche. "Full of Love's content, The birds are glad; the briar rose fills The air with sweetness; all the hills Stretch green to July's unclouded sky." The Clarion wishes to extend congratulations, and its hearty good wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Felix Chachere. The words of the Holy Father spoken as they stood before the altar of the Catholic church at Arnaudville last Saturday evening at the hour of 5:30, made Mr. Felix Chachere, of Opelousas, and Miss Marie Meche, of Arnaudville, "one and the same in the rose-garden of life, wherein the rose can be plucked without the prick of the thorn." The wedding was a quiet one, only a few intimate friends and the family being present. Immediately after the ceremony the happy couple came to Opelousas, where they will permanently reside. Mr. Chachere is one of Opelousas' deserving young men, and the bride is the accomplished daughter of Mr. Horace Meche, of Arnaudville.
