(Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, July 15, 1905, Image 3 SANDOZ-MISTRIC. Mr. J. Morgan Sandoz and Miss Marie Mistric were married at the Catholic Church, in Leonville, on Wednesday evening, July 12, 1905, at 6 o'clock, Rev. Father Malluchette officiating. The ceremonies uniting these young people for life were impressive and pretty, "the birds chirping merrily and the green moss bending lower and lower as if to kiss the cheery-cheeked bride, and the tall oaks bending, bending, seemingly forward, their limbs, as if extending their strong arms in congratulation to the manly groom." After the marriage the happy couple and their friends and relatives repaired to the home of the bride's parents, where they were suitably entertained. On arriving at their future home in Opelousas they were tendered another reception at the home of the groom's father. The Clarion wishes Mr. and Mrs. Sandoz a happy life. The horizon is clear and cloudless -- may it remain so. ****** 2nd. Marriage Annoucement: source: The Opelousas Courier. (Opelousas, La.) 1852-1910, July 22, 1905, Image 1 Done Gone and Done It. Owing to a rush of work last week we failed to mention the marriage of our young friend and kinsman, J. Morgan Sandoz, to Miss Marie Mistric, which happy event occurred at Leonville on the 12th inst. The bride is the daughter of that stalwart scion of St. Landry, Mr. Pierre Mistric of Leonville, and the groom is the son of the pioneer druggist of this town, Mr. W. A. Sandoz. With profuse apologies for our unintentional oversight, and an emphatic disclaimer of any indifference in the matter, we wish now to extend to the young couple our heartiest congratulations, and to invoke God's choicest blessings upon them. May the little blind god maintain their hearts as his abiding place, and with a freedom from care and troubles (excepting, of course, little ones) may they wend their way through life happily together.
