DIED. - BERARD - Widow Balthezar Berard, nee Arthemise LeBlanc, died on her 
plantation, St. Martin parish, Sunday the 5th inst., at two o'clock in the 
evening, at the age of 71 years.

Mrs. Berard was a noble christian old lady, esteemed and respected by all those 
who knew her.

She was buried from the Catholic church Monday evening at five o'clock, and 
large was the concourse of relatives and friends who followed her mortal 
remains to their last resting place. Mrs. Berard leaves a family of several 
grown children.
