DIED.

At the residence of her husband, in St. Martinville, at half past five o'clock 
Monday evening, the 22d, inst., Mrs. Alphonse Bienvenu, nee Marie Augelina 
Bienvenu, aged 62 years. She was buried the following day at five o'clock in 
the evening.

Her sufferings were long and painful, but she has borne them with the fortitude 
of a true christian, without a complaint. She was a noble woman, possessing all 
the qualities necessary to make life a treasure to her and her family circle. 
She was a faithful wife, an affectionate mother, and a true friend. May she 
receive at the hands of her Master, the recompense she so richly deserves.
