(St. Martinsville [i.e.St. Martinville]La.) 1886-1948, November 07, 1891, Image 1 Necrology. Died at the residence of her husband in St. Martinville, on Friday evening, the 30th of October, MRS. CARLOS GREIG, born Laure Fournet, at the age of 33 years 1 month and 7 days, after a long and painful illness. It is indeed sad for a young wife, sister and mother to give up all the hopes and treasures of this world when the future appeared to her in all its brilliancy. But how sad when in the throes of death, for a mother to look with all consciouness (sic) upon the dear and lovely little creatures she leaves behind, motherless, the treasures of her heart, is certainly a moment of deep grief and suffering, but Mrs. Greig, a true and devoted christian, she has born her painful sufferings without a murmur, until she crossed over to the world beyond, to receive her recompense at the hands of her Master. Her funeral took place from the Catholic church at 3 o'clock the following day, and her mortal remains were followed to the grave by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives. The MESSENGER tenders its heartfelt sympathy to the husband and family.
