Bienvenu St. Martinville--Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 14, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Azema Cormier Bienvenu, 93, who died Sunday, July 12, 1998 at the St. Martinville Nursing Home. Burial followed in the St. Michael Cemetery. She is survived by one sister, Adeze Lasseigne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bienvenu, and one daughter, Anna Belle Burnette. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Shamar J.. Dugas St. Martinville--Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 14, in the Queen of Peace Cemetery for Shamar Javon Dugas, infant, who died Monday, July 13, 1998, at Iberia General Medical Center. Survivors include his mother, Latricie Dugas of St. Martinville; his father, Donell Batiste of St. Martinville; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Drake of St. Martinville. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. George K. Hebert Henderson--Funeral services were held Sunday, July 12 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for George K. Hebert, 79, who died Friday, July 10, 1998, at Gary Memorial Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Burial followed in the St. Michael Cemetery. Mr. Hebert was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. army. He had 50 years of service in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He is survived by his wife, Cecile LeBlanc Hebert, of Henderson; two sons, Huet Hebert of Cecilia and Mark Hebert of Henderson; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Hebert; four brothers, Jasper, Andrew, Bucy and Anderson Hebert; and five sisters, Cecilia Collette, Gladys Dupuis, Violina Guidry, Elverna Hebert and Margie Patin. Lastrapes Arnaudville--Funeral services were held Saturday, July 11, at St. Catherine Catholic Church for Emily Lee Lastrapes, 68, who died Sunday, July 5, 1998 at Doctor's Hospital in Opelousas. Burial followed in the St. Francis Regis Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Lastrapes of Breaux Bridge, Catherine Savoie of Sunset, and Lucille Lastrapes of Arnaudville; four brothers, Clarence Marcelle and Gilbert Marcelle, both of Arnaudville, and sidney Marcelle and Maurice Marcelle, both of New Orleans; one sister, Nola Mae Fontenot of Opelousas and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Lastrapes. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Warren J. Latiolais Henderson--Funeral services were held Friday, July 10, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Warren Jack Latiolais, 63, who died Wednesday July 8, 1998 at his home. Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Latiolais served in the Air Force and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the Lafayette Realtors Assn., Lake Arthur Yacht Club, Barber Shop Quartet and the Harry LaFleur Band. He is survived by three sons, Michael Latiolais and Oscar Latiolais of Redding, Calif. one daughter, Jeanne McMinn of Cummings, Ga.; five brothers, Lee Latiolais, Achille "A.J." Latiolais; Darrell "Daro" Latiolais and Tony Latiolais, all of Henderson, and Danny Latiolais of Loreauville; four sisters, Laura Bossenberry of Royal Oak, Mich.; Georgia Thibodeaux of Henderson and Clarine Flaherty and Evelyn Kidder, both of Cecilia and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lionel "Mickie" and Albert "Goo-You" Latiolais. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Rose LeBlanc St. Martinville--Funeral services were held Friday, July 10, at Praise Church, and Saturday, July 11, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Rose LeBlanc, 79, who died Tuesday, July 7, 1998. Burial followed on Saturday in the Praise Church Cemetery. Survivors include four sons, Dennis Narcisse Sr., Pastor John Narcisse Sr., Larry Narcisse Sr. and Walter Narcisse Jr., all of St. Martinville; one daughter, Marie Narcisse of New Iberia; four brothers, David Bernard and Jeffery Bernard, both of Houston TX, and Milton Bernard and Andrew Bernard, both of Lafayette; two sisters, Louise Bernard of St. Martinville and Pearl Bernard of Cade; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter LeBlanc. Golden Meadows Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Soligny J. "Sos" Segura New Iberia--Funeral Services were held Tuesday, July 14, at St. Peter's Catholic Church for Soligny Jean "Sos" segura, 92, who died Sunday, July 19, 1998 in a local hospital. Interment was in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Segura had served as Iberia Parish Clerk of Court for 40 years. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Sylvia) Bienvenu Jr. of New Iberia and Mrs. Horace (Jane) Myers of Broussard; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Gonsoulin Segura; a daughter, Susan Claire Segura; and a brother, Whitney Segura. Evangeline Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
