Mr. Derneville Olivier, aged about 75 years, died at his home near St. 
Martinville last Thursday. Mr. Olivier was born in St. Martin parish and lived 
there all his life. He was a man of integrity and enjoyed the respect of all 
who knew him. He was a brother of the late Mr. Ovignac Olivier of this town 
and of Mrs. Alfred Voorhies, now a resident of Lafayette. Mr. Olivier was 
buried Friday in the Catholic cemetery at St. Martinville.
