Calais Breaux Bridge--Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 1, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Loula Cormier Calais, 90, who died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1998, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Calais; one daughter, Dorothy Calais; one brother, D.D. (Blanc) Cormier; and two sisters, Marie Boring and Loudie Trahan. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Anna W. Baltazar Breaux Bridge--Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 3, at St. Francois of Assissi Catholic Church for Anna Williams Baltazar, 68, who died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1998, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Burial followed in St. Francis of Assissi Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Rogers Baltazar of Breaux Bridge; four sons, Michael Baltazar, Van Ray Baltazar, Brian Keith Baltazar and Eddie Baltazar, all of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Louetta Batiste of Breaux Bridge and Mary Potier of Parks; one sister, Theresa Henry of Breaux Bridge; and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Baltazar; one sister, Lorretta Dauphine; and one brother, Felix Williams. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Elta C. Semer Cecilia--Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 3, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Elta Charles Semer, 71, of Arnaudville, who died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998 at her home. Burial followed in the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau. She is survived by one son, Anthony Semer of Arnaudville; two daughters, Elsie Semer and Ezola Semer, both of Arnaudville; seven brothers, Joseph Charles of Lawtell; Retell Charles, Wilson Charles, Whitney Charles, Elice Charles and Wallace Charles, all of Grand Coteau, and Columbus Charles of Opelousas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Domingue Lafayette--Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 3, in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home Chapel for Addie Breaux Domingue, who died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Burial followed in Fountain Memorial Garden Mausoleum. Mrs. Domingue was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Community. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Jeanette) Trahan of Lafayette; one son, Charles Domingue of Lafayette; one brother, Carroll Breaux of Cecilia; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, LuDovic Domingue; and her second husband, Christian Hernandez. Agnes Q. Fisette Arnaudville--Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 4, at St. Francis Regis Catholic Church for Agnes Quebedeaux Fisette, 79, who died Friday, Oct. 2, 1998, at her home. Burial followed in the St. Francis Regis Cemetery. Mrs. Fisette was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Arnaudville Improvement Club. Survivors include her husband, Lionel Fisette of Arnaudville; one son, Marion Fisette of Cecilia; one daughter, Sybil Landry of Cecilia; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Maurice Landry Lafayette--Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 5, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church for Maurice Landry, 74, who died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998, at his home. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Mr. Landry was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US army. He was a member of the St. Genevieve Catholic Community and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Landry of Lafayette; two daughters, Amber Dwyer of Breaux Bridge and Connie DesOrmeaux of Carencro; two sons, Burley Landry of Franklin and Eugene Landry of Jennings; six sisters, Dot Gilbert and Jackie Doucet, both of Lafayette, Dolly Guidry and Delta Guidry, both of Parks, Winona Champagne of Breaux Bridge, and Beverly Quebedeaux of Broussard; four brothers, Lloyd Landry and Wiley Landry, both of St. Martinville, Harris Landry of Parks, and Steve Landry of Lafayette; and nine grandchildren. Savoy Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 5, for Stella Marie Savoy, 92, who died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998, at St. Agnes Nursing Home in Breaux Bridge. Burial followed in the St. Michael Cemetery. Mrs. Savoy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of Peter Claver, the Ladies Altar Society, the Block Rosary Group, 4th Degree Ladies of Grace Chapter 3, Union Benevolent Society, and the Charismatic Prayer Group. She was also a charter member of the Legion of Mary. Survivors include one son, John Savoy of New Orleans; two daughters, Anna Jones of St. Martinville, and Olena Broussard of Port Arthur, Texas; one brother, Himel Price of New Orleans; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement Savoy; two sons, Clifford and Wilfred Savoy; four sisters and five brothers; and two grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Elda Webre Champagne of Cecilia; two sons, Cecil Champagne Jr. of Port Arthur, Texas, and Eldridge Jimmy champagne of Cecilia; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild. Smith Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church for Kenneth David Smith, 36, who died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998 in New Iberia. Burial followed in the Methodist Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Smith of St. Martinville; his parents, Murrell Smith and Joyce J. Smith of St. Martinville; and two brothers, Tommy Smith of Broussard and John E. smith of St. Martinville. He was preceded in death by one brother, Mark A. Smith.
