Survivors include her parents, Wilman Alexander Jr. and Rose E. Alexander of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Kenitha Alexander and Angel Alexander of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, David Alexander and Wilman Alexander III of Breaux Bridge; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Edmond Sr. and Vivian Alexander. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wilma Alexander Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Shelby E. Eastin St. Martinville--Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 11 at St. Martin de Tours catholic Church for Shelby Edward Eastin, 67, who died Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia. Burial followed in St. Michael Mausoleum. Survivors include his wife, Marion Conery Eastin of St. Martinville; three sons, Teddy Eastin and Rock Eastin of St. Martinville, and Shelby eastin II of Lafayette; two daughters, Elizabeth Gremillion of Abbeville and Marie Murname of Greenville, S.C.; one sister, Sandy Eastin of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by one son, Edward Eastin, and one grandson, Michael Gremillion. Bonnie Pontiff Menard Breaux Bridge--Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 12 at St. Bernard Catholic church for Bonnie Pontiff Menard, 43, who died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998 at University Medical Center in Lafayette. Survivors include her husband, George (Poncho) Menard Jr., of Breaux Bridge; three sons, Brock A. Menard, Kolin F. Menard of Breaux Bridge and Cameron G. Menard of Breaux Bridge; one daughter, Tara L. Menard of Breaux Bridge; her parents, Rufus Pontiff and Lorraine Pontiff of Parks; and one sister, Linda P. Martinez of Parks. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Earl K. Richards Henderson--Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Our Lady of Mercy Church Catholic Church for Earl King Richards, 90, who died Monday, Sept. 4, 1998, at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Burial was in St. Bernard Cemetery, No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Richards was a WWII veteran and served with the 106th Calvary and the Chicago Black Horse Troop. He worked in the printing industry for 40 years and retired from D&H Printing of Lafayette. Survivors include his wife, Mozella U. Richards of Henderson; two daughters, Kathryn Bork and Shelley Simon, both of Austin TX; one step-daughter, Gayle Myers of Lafayette; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Savoy Breaux Bridge--Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 10. at St. Bernard catholic Church for Marie Mabel (Bill) Guidry, 70, who died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at her home in Poche Bridge. Mrs. Savoy graduated from Cecilia High School where she was valedictorian. She also attended USL and served in the Sodality of Mary. She managed a grocery store in Poche Bridge for 20 years. Survivors include her husband, Harry Savoy of Breaux Bridge; one son, Mark Leonard Savoy of Lafayette; one daughter, Kathy Savoy Duplechien of Lafayette; a sister Dolores G. Linahan of Harrison, ark.; four grandchildren, and one step-grandson. She was preceded in death by one son, John David Savoy. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Aldus Hebert Breaux Bridge--Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 30, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Aldus Hebert, 82, of Cecilia, who died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1998, at his daughter s home. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Hebert was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Ginger) Knott of Cecilia; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
