The following is clipped from the Lynchburg, VA., Daily advance of recent date: Mrs. McC. Waugh died at her Lynchburg sanatorium yesterday evening at 6 o'clock, following a serious operation. When she left the operating room it was thought she had a fair chance of recovery, but she was suddenly seized with a severe attack. Mrs. Waugh was in her fifty-eighth year, and was born in St. Martin parish, La. Prior to her marriage, which took place in 1884, she was Miss Marie Celeste Lastrapes, and was the daughter of Celeste Garland and Alfred Lastrapes. She is survived by two brothers, Alfred and Bromier Lastrapes, and four sisters, Mrs. John S. Thibaut, Mrs. August Thibaut, Mrs. William Olivier and Mrs. Lynn Hymel, all of Louisiana. She leaves one son and three daughters, as follows: Mr. W. McC. Waugh, of Lynchburg; Mrs. H. V. Conly, of Wilmington, N. C. and Misses Marie C. and Rosa O. Waugh, of Lynchburg. The funeral services took place from the Holy Cross church Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in Spring Hill cemetery.
