BLANCHARD, BARBARA 

Mrs. Barbara Perez Blanchard, 64, a native of Louisa and a resident of 
Franklin, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at 10:45 a.m., in Garden City.

She is survived by her sons, Carl "Shorty" Blanchard of Breaux Bridge and Eric 
Blanchard Sr. and his wife, Gloria, both of Branch; her daughter, Carol 
Blanchard of Church Point; one brother, Antoine Perez Jr. of Franklin; 10 
grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Blanchard was preceded in death by her husband, Elton J. "Mort" Blanchard 
Sr.; her father, Antoine Perez Sr.; her mother, Justa Wern Perez; and one 
grandson, Vernon Joseph Mooney.

The family requests visitations be held Sunday, August 19, from 4 p.m. to 10 
p.m., at Ibert's Mortuary, with a Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. The funeral 
home will reopen Monday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 20, at 11 a.m., with Fr. 
Bill Crumley officiating the Mass at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 
in Charenton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin.
