CHASE, RITA MARY 

Rita M. "Kitty" Chase died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Franklin Health Care 
Center.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin. She worked for many years 
as a legal secretary to Robert E. Brumby, a prominent Franklin attorney and 
civic leader. After retirement she remained active in her many interests, 
including the Franklin Garden Club, the Franklin Foundation Hospital Pink 
Ladies, and the First United Methodist Church, of which she was the secretary. 
She was a charter member of the Franklin Republican Women's Club.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, W.E. and Rita Martin Chase, 
her brothers W.E. "Pip" Chase Jr. and Edward E. Chase Sr. and her sister 
Frances Chase Langlinais. She is survived by eight nieces and nephews and 
numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First 
United Methodist Church followed by a service at the church and 

burial in the Franklin cemetery. 
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Erin Oliver. 

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ibert's Mortuary. 

The family request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the First 
United Methodist Church in Franklin.
