Vincent W. Darden, 90, a native and lifelong resident of Charenton, died Sunday, August 26, 2007, at 6:40 a.m., at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Tuesday, August 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton, with the rosary being prayed at 11:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at the church at 12 noon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Father Bill Crumley will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Jack Darden, Seth Gaddy, Matthew Darden, Robie Darden, Don Darden and Tom Gaddy. Mr. Darden is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alice LeBlanc of Charenton; two sons, Don Darden and his wife, Lois, of Charenton and Robie Darden and his wife, Kat, of Charenton; one daughter, Peggy D. Gaddy and her husband, Tom, of (Missing Text) great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Darden and Felicia Mora Darden; one son, Ted Darden; three brothers, Bennette, Albert and Gabriel Darden; and five sisters, Florence Speer, Emma Bernard, Coralie Latino, Cora Vilcan and Mabel Vilcan. Mr. Darden enlisted in the United States Army on March 17, 1941 and served during World War II in the Philippines until his discharge on January 9, 1946. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin. ===================
