DUGAS, STELLA P. 

Stella Pontiff Dugas, 96, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, died 
Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Slidell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Joseph Dugas; her 
daughter, Betty D. Trombatore; her son, Dr. Roy J. Dugas Sr.; one grandson, Roy 
J. Dugas Jr.; one brother, Ernest Pontiff Sr.; and five sisters, Annie P. 
Mondor, Alice P. Cessac, Ealy P. Treuil, Sadie P. Boudreaux, Clara P. Dugas and 
Pearl P. LeBlanc; and by her parents, Valentine Pontiff and Angele Robicheaux 
Pontiff.

Survivors include seven grandchildren (Betty's children) Larry V. Trombatore, 
Wade J. Trombatore, Joseph B. Trombatore and Benjamin J. Trombatore; and (Dr. 
Roy's children) Robert Paul Dugas, Wade Joseph Dugas and Mary Dugas Swearingen; 
one daughter-in-law, Ann Dugas of New Orleans; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family asks that visitations be observed Friday, March 16th, at Ibert's 
Mortuary, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and again Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, March 17 at the Church of the 
Assumption at 10 a.m. 

Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. 
Father Michael Russo will officiate the services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of ' Franklin.
