Funeral services were held Monday, December 24, 2007, at 11 a.m., at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville for Rita Guillory Emmons, 86, who passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Iberia General Medical Center. Entombment followed in the St. Joseph Mausoleum in Centerville. Fr. Thomas Habetz, pastor of St. Joseph Church, officiated at the funeral Mass. Con-Celebrant was Fr. O'Neil Landry. Mrs. Emmons was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, working in her flowerbeds and cooking. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Joseph Church in Centerville for many years and was also a member of a Rosary Group in St. Martinville. She valued and treasured every moment spent with her family and will be dearly missed by them. Survivors include her husband, Wallace Lee Emmons Sr. of St. Martinville; two sons, Wallace Lee Emmons Jr. and his wife, Jackie, of St. Martinville and Anthony Emmons and his wife, Lori, of Rayne; two daughters, Catherine Yvette Louviere and her husband, Anthony, of New Iberia and Paula Peltier and her husband, Lee Roy Peltier II of Williamsburg, Virginia; one brother, Bertholin Guillory and his wife, Beverly, of Ville Platte; one sister, Anna Lee Guillory Siffert of Chicot; 11 grandchildren, Anthony Louviere III, Kara L. Blanchard, Heather P. Wright, Lee Roy Peltier III, Peter N. Peltier, Jessica M. Emmons, Joni E. Emmons, Quincy Emmons, Avery Emmons, Leah Emmons and Zoe Emmons; and four great grandchildren, Benjamin Blanchard, Emily Blanchard, Emma Peltier and Lillian Peltier. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Elva Guillory; and several brothers and sisters. The family requested that visiting hours be observed Sunday, from 10 a. m. until 10 p. m. at Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard St. in Breaux Bridge and continue Monday, at 9 a. m., at the St. Joseph Church in Centerville. A rosary was recited at 7 p. m. on Sunday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements. ===================
