Ronald L. Estay, Sr., 63, a native and a resident of Patterson, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at 5 a.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center. Mr. Estay is survived by his wife, Evelyn Rockenbaugh Estay of Patterson; two sons, Ronald Estay Jr. and his wife, Kristy, both of Berwick, and Scott Estay of Bayou Vista; one daughter, April Estay Akard and her husband, Mike, both of Canyon Lake, TX; his mother, Doris Hebert Estay of Patterson; two brothers, Floyd Estay Sr. and Herbert Estay Sr., both of Patterson; one sister, Sandra Diringer of Morgan City; seven grandchildren, Bridget Taylor, Josie Estay, Zoie Estay, Alexis Estay, Tori Estay, Chloe Estay and Harley Estay; step family, Christine, Jenny, Yvonne and David Grior; and 10 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Estay Sr. and two brothers, John L. Estay and Lloyd Estay Jr. The family requests that memorial visitation be observed Friday, March 30, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a 10:45 a.m. Rosary, all at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the church. Inurnment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Patterson. Monsignor Richard Greene will officiate the services. Mr. Estay was a longtime worker in the oil industry and retired from Otis Engineering after 20 plus years of work. He was a Vietnam Veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Relay for Life or to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1011 First Street, Patterson, LA 70392. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Patterson. ===================
