Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Dupont. Mr. Eustis John Firmin, 95, of Plaucheville died Monday Sept. 10, 2007 at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette. Mr. Firmin was a very "handy man" whether it would be work for the church or fixing things for his family and friends, he was often quoted as saying "I can fix anything but a broken heart, but I sure will try." Survivors include his sons, Wade Firmin of San Antonio, Texas, Worley Firmin of Lafayette, Peter Firmin of Baldwin, Harton Firmin of Dupont; daughter, Earline Firmin of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Volcie Barron Firmin; his Father, Elphege Firmin; and his mother, Leocade Dupuy Firmin. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at Escude Funeral Home, Cottonport from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wake service will be Sept. 14, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. and will re-open Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at 9 a.m. at Immacualte Conception Church Hall. ===================
