Electa Guilbeau Granger, 81, a native of Broussard and a resident of Franklin, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at 5:30 a.m., at the Franklin Health Care Center. Mrs. Granger is survived by her husband of 43 years, Roland J. Granger of Franklin; five sons, Edler Broussard and his wife, Jeanie, of Sorrell, David Broussard of Franklin, Roland Chris Granger of New Iberia, Barry Granger of Franklin and Rodney Granger and his wife, Carmen, of Jeanerette; three daughters, Elizabeth Simoneaux and her husband, Dallas, of Baldwin, Susanne LeBlanc and her husband, Lloyd, of New Iberia and Gwendolyn Ruggley and her husband, Vic Quimby, of Alexandria; five brothers, Henry Guilbeau of Lafayette, Emile Guilbeau of Broussard, Sidney Guilbeau of New Iberia, Fils Guilbeau of New Iberia and Paul Guilbeau of New Iberia; two sisters, Lillia Dugas of Pecan Island and Mary Landry of New Iberia; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fils Guilbeau and Lillia Bourque Guilbeau Landry; and one brother, Travis Guilbeau. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Saturday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin, with the rosary being prayed at 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a. m., at Ibert's Mortuary. Father Thomas Vu will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Broussard. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin. ===================
