All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= OLANDER, LEO PETER (May 28, 1928 - April 6, 2007) Funeral Services were conducted for Mr. Leo Peter Olander, 78, at 11 a.m. Monday April 9, 2007, at the Crossroads Tabernacle with the Rev. Thomas Olander and the Rev. Steve Mcquiston officiating. Interment followed in St. Helens Cemetery in Florence. Visiting hours were observed Sunday, April 8, 2007 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., and resumed Monday April 9, from 9 a.m. till time of services. A rosary was prayed Sunday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Olander died Friday, April 6, 2007, at 6:29 p.m., in a New Iberia Hospital. Mr. Olander was a life long resident of Cypremort Point. He was former owner and founder of Olanders Seafood Restaurant and H&L Seafood. He was a commercial fisherman. He was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and a member of the Iberia Boat Club. He also worked for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Dept. Mr. Olander is survived by his wife Diana Guillotte Olander of Jeanerette; his children, Carolyn Simon and her husband, Curnis; Russell Olander and his wife, Barbara; Roland Olander and his wife, Milda; Christine Lockhart and her husband, Michael, all of Cypremort Point; Brenda Lalonde and her husband, Joe, of Mesquite, TX; Thomas Olander and his wife, Lola, of Jeanerette; Rodney Olander and his wife, Nell, of Franklin; Maxine Flynn and her husband, Pete, of Lafayette; Troy Olander and his wife, Christine, of Youngsville; and Monique Langlinais and her husband, Terry, of Lydia; a brother, Edward Olander and his wife, Mary, of Cypremort Point; his sisters, Elizabeth Rawlins and her husband, Benjamin, and Aberta Borel, both of Cypremort Point; Dorothy Romero and her husband, Norman, of Youngsville; Helen Roy of New Iberia; and Rita Simon of Pasadena, TX; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Frances Rolkosky Olander; one son, William Olander; his first wife, Hazel Olander Anderson; three brothers, Andrew Olander Jr., Sylvester Olander and Steve Olander; and one sister, Elnora Hartman. Pallbearers will be Thomas, Russell, Roland, Rodney, Michael and Troy Olander. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Langlinais, Kirk Guillotte and Edwin "Bruce" Broussard. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette was in charge of arrangements. ===================
