He departed this life on November 9, 2007, at 6: 50 p. m., at his residence in Franklin. He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Charpentier Paul of Franklin; three stepsons, Michael Leonard, David Leonard and Dallas Leonard Jr., all of Franklin; three stepdaughters, Patricia Louviere and her husband, Steve, both of Franklin, Dolores Derouen and her husband, L. J., both of Jeanerette and Debra Breaux and her husband, Robert Sr., both of Franklin; two brothers, Floyd Paul Sr. and Wilbert Paul, both of Verdunville; two sisters, Juanita Burgess and Mary Bourgeois, both of Verdunville; 11 step grandchildren; 10 great step grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Mr. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Elwood, Harold Sr., Mike Jr., Larry, Roy and Willard Paul; and two sisters, Mildred Paul Verdun and Sadie Paul. The family requests that visitations be observed Monday, November 12, from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m., at Ibert's Mortuary. A funeral service will be held Monday, at 1 p. m., at Ibert's Mortuary with the Rev. Pat Louviere officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Mr. Paul was retired from both the St. Mary Parish Government and the A & P Food Store that was here in Franklin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin. ===================
