SAM, LOUIS 

Mr. Louis Sam, 68, a resident of Franklin and native of Katy, died Thursday, 
October 25, 2007, at 5:15 a.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital following a 
short illness.

He is survived by two sons, Kevin R. Sam Sr. of Patterson and Gregory C. Sam of 
Maryland, Iowa; one daughter, Donna Sam Blanks of Franklin; five brothers, John 
Sam Mathews Sr. and Shedrick Sam, both of Franklin, Wallace Sam of Houston, 
Texas, Alfred Sam Sr. of Sorrell and Thomas Sam of Centerville; seven sisters, 
Alva M. Burrell, Rosa Mary Johnson, Consuelo S. Jones, Phyllis A. Mitchell, 
Madelin S. Edwards, Pamela S. Casteal and Zelma Sam, all of Franklin; nine 
grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, 
other relatives and friends.

Mr. Sam was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and three brothers.

Visitations will be observed Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the 
Otis Mortuary Chapel in Franklin.

Burial rites will be read Wednesday, at 2 p.m., at the mortuary. The Rev. W.J. 
Otis will officiate. 

Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery in Franklin.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
