SINGLETON, HERBERT 

Herbert Singleton, 76, a resident of Morgan City and native of Avoca Island, 
died Saturday, August 4, 2007, at 10:25 a.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his spouse, Louise R. Singleton of Morgan City; one son, 
Herbert G. Singleton of Patterson; four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Faye) Johnson 
of New Iberia, Mrs. Glenn (Yvonne) Morris of Morgan City, Gail Gamble of Houma 
and Mrs. Isiah (Elaine) Skinner Jr. of Patterson; two sisters, Dorothy Holden 
of Morgan City and Martha Joseph of Thibodaux; 11 grandchildren; and five great 
grandchildren.

Visitations will be observed Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Church of 
God of Prophecy, 1211 3rd St. in Patterson.

Funeral rites will be read Friday, at 1 p.m., at that church. 

Interment will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

The Jones Funeral Home, Inc. of Morgan City is in charge of arrangements
