MARTIN, SHIRLEY ST. 

Shirley Achee St. Martin, 74, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, died 
Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at 5:37 p.m., in New Iberia.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edward J. St. Martin Sr. of 
Franklin; three sons, Edward "Eddie" St. Martin Jr. and his wife, Doretta, of 
New Iberia, Alfred Joseph St. Martin of Franklin, and Alvin Michael St. Martin 
of Gonzales; two daughters, Karen Ann DeMahy and her husband, Howard, of New 
Iberia, and Suzan Shoemaker and her husband, William, of New Iberia; one 
sister, Lois Achee Liner and her husband, Andrew, of Franklin; 12 
grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Emile Achee and Sarah 
Robicheaux Achee.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed Saturday, March 3, at 
Ibert's Mortuary, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 
12:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at the mortuary at 1 p.m. 

Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Centerville. 
Father Thomas E. Habetz of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate the 
services.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Journey 
Hospice, 101 LaRue Franc, Suite 406, Lafayette, LA 70508.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin.
