Lynn J. "L.J." Tardiff Jr., 83, a native of Franklin and a resident of Baldwin, died Friday, August 10, 2007, at 10:15 p.m., at his residence. L.J. is survived by three sons, Ted Tardiff of Centerville, Rickey Tardiff of Port Barre and Kary Tardiff of Franklin; three daughters, Sue Carter of Jeanerette, Dynita Gerard of New Iberia and Karen Vincent of Centerville; one sister, Lindy Babin of Houma; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his living wife, Eva Thibodeaux Tardiff; his parents, Lynn Tardiff Sr. and Laillia Dupre Tardiff; one brother, Rene Tardiff; two sisters, Marjorie Armstead and Genevieve Landry; and one grandson, Garrett Tardiff. L.J. was an avid hunter, loved baseball, was an umpire and loved dancing. He retired from SONAT in 1986 after 32 years of dedicated service, and was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 4309 of Centerville. Funeral services were held Monday, at 2 p.m., at the mortuary, with Father Gregory Cormier officiating. Assisting with the service was the Rev. Bobby Hodnett. Interment followed in the Franklin Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin. ===================
