THOMAS, CLAUDINE B. 

Mrs. Claudine Brown Thomas, 62, a resident of Bakertown and native of Bayou 
Sale, died Monday, August 20, 2007, at 4:06 a.m., at her residence following a 
short illness.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Roland Thomas Sr. of Bakertown; one son, 
Jimmy R. Thomas Jr. of New Iberia; three daughters, Renetta Orlette Washington 
of Gulfport, Mississippi, Raeschell LaVelle Franklin of Franklin and Alessia 
Thomas-Johnson of Cypress, Texas; one brother, Barry Trent Brown of Bakertown; 
one sister, Barbara A. Thomas of Bakertown; and 11 grandchildren.

Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Julia M. Brown and Isaac 
Brown Sr.; one son, Raylon Dewayne Brown; and two brothers, Stanley Brown and 
Isaac Brown Jr.

Visitations will be observed Friday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the 
Otis Mortuary Chapel in Franklin.

Burial rites will be read Friday, at 1 p.m., at the mortuary. The Rev. Wilson 
Ferguson Jr. will officiate. 

Interment will follow in the Golden Queen Cemetery in Centerville.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
