Mr. Bertrand 'Bert' Paul Burgess, 80, a native of Centerville and a resident of 
Verdunville died, Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lordes 
Hospital in Lafayette.

Mr. Bert is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dolly Pellerin Burgess of 
Verdunville; three sons, Neal Burgess and his wife, Evelyn, of Gautier, MS., 
Parnell Burgess of Verdunville, Randy Burgess of Verdunville; two daughters, 
Tammy Gray and her husband, Kenny, of League City, TX., and Marnell Lewis and 
her husband, Wayne, of Verdunville; three brothers, Beverly Burgess, Richard 
Burgess, and Leroy Burgess; seven grandchildren, Krystal, Mallory, Alex, Tasha, 
Alecia, Danelle, and Nicholas; two great grandchildren, Natalia and Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his father O'Brien Burgess Sr.; his mother, Viola 
Paul Burgess and one brother, O'Brien Burgess Jr.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 9am 
to 11am at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall in Verdunville.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 14th at 11am at the 
Immaculate Conception Church Hall with Father Thomas Vu officiating. Burial will 
follow in the church cemetery.
