Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2010/sm1005.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Betty Jean Cavalier, 76, a longtime resident of Gibson, passed away at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma. Betty, a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was honored by the Gibson Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department for 17 years of volunteer service. She was the most gung-ho volunteer for her size and stature. She had her own equipment, and lights and siren on her vehicle, and was always ready to go on a moment's notice. Betty was employed by and retired from the Terrebonne Parish School Board with many dedicated years as a bus driver. Betty is survived by her mother, Neva Jones Bishop of Patterson; three daughters, Julie Veron and her companion, Chuck Naquin, of Houma, Kim Percle and her husband, Scott, of Stephensville, and Pam Faulk and her husband, Glynn, of Bayou Vista. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sandy Richard, Brandy Gray, Jamie Faulk, Tyler Naquin, Kayla Percle, Kourtney Percle, Alex Naquin and Gage Veron; and her great-grandchildren, Brooke Richard, Cody Richard and Madison Gray. She was preceded in death by her father, Ishmael Bishop; and a daughter, Linda Falgout. Visitation will be today, Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., continuing Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services Wednesday will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
