All rights reserved. http://theusgenweb.net/copyright.htm http://theusgenweb.net/la/lafiles.htm ======================================================================= NOTE: If a Photo is available for an obituary record, a reference note will be included with the record. =========================================================== TALBOT, BILLY GENE June 14, 1936 - May 29, 2010 Memorial services will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, at 6:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin for Billy Gene Talbot, 73, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010, at 7:00 AM at the Franklin Health Care Center. Father Lloyd Benoit, of the Church of the Assumption, will officiate the memorial service. Survivors include five sons, Timothy Patrick Talbot and his wife, Lynne, of Shreveport, Thad Adam Talbot of Franklin, Thomas Matthew Talbot and his wife, Leah, of Lafayette, Tristan Peter Talbot and his wife, Kica, of Charenton, and Toby Michael Talbot and his wife, Amanda, of Lafayette; one daughter, Billie Jean Talbot Adams and her husband, Jason, of Franklin; one sister, Sherry Ann Talbot Hidalgo and her husband, Roland Jr., of Franklin; twelve grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, June Robicheaux Talbot; his parents, Earl Joseph Talbot, Sr. and Hilda Adams Talbot; and one brother, Earl "Wooger" Talbot, Jr. Billy Gene was a veteran of the United States Air Force and loved hunting and fishing. He coached Football and Girls Basketball and also taught General Business, Bookkeeping, Economics, and Accounting at Hanson Memorial High School in Franklin for over thirty years. As an individual and educator, he strived to make a difference and touched people's lives everyday. He was a loving husband and the best father a child could ask for. The family requests that memorial visitations be observed Friday, June 4, at Ibert's Mortuary from 12:00 PM until service time.
