A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 19, at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, with Father Tom Ponzini officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, TX, with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Mrs. Martin was born October 22, 1917 in Franklin, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and seamstress at Phelps Men's Store. She was a member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Martin Jr.; and sons, S. J. Martin III and Ronald R. Martin. Survivors include her son, Howard Martin and wife, Debbie, of Alvin; daughters, Anne Martin, Judy Lavespere, Susan Tyson and husband, Wes, Agnes Fraga and husband, Dale, Karen Tew and husband, Dana; daughter-in-law, Patty Martin; sisters, Evelyn Guillotte and Lettie Chapron; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be grandsons. ===================
