Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2010/sm1005.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Mr. Egbert Joseph "Pappy" Mason, 76, a native of Morgan City and a long time resident of Patterson passed away at Terrebonne General Medical Center on Monday, May 17, 2010 following a lengthy illness. Pappy was retired from Shell Oil Company and was the owner-operator of Mason's Seafood Dock in Berwick, LA. He was a loving husband, father grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. An active member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was a frequent reader and The Morgan City Chapter of AARP. Pappy was one that never meet a stranger, loved to talk about any and every thing, and was every ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. Pappy is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lapeyrouse Mason, two daughters Patricia Templet and her husband Johnny of Pierre Part, and Angela Dupre and her husband Thomas of Petal, Mississippi, a brother Manuel Mason and his wife Catherine of Columbus, Georgia and three sisters, Alice Thibodeaux of Morgan City, Hilda Hebert of Gonzales and Elizabeth Rhodes and her husband Thomas of Morgan City. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Cleveland and Rita Hymel Mason, a daughter Geraldine Mason Willoughby, a son Ricky Paul Mason and his sisters Eva Mayon and Edna Borque. A time of remembrance and reflection will be at Hargrave Funeral Home Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 5:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson. Pappy will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Mausoleum. ===================
