SMITH, HUEY P. 

Huey P. Smith, 72, a native of Franklin and resident of Patterson, died Tuesday 
at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center at 11:30 p.m.

Smith was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the Masons, the American Legion 
and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The East St. Mary Funeral Squad will perform at graveside.

Visitation will be Tuesday at the Patterson Area Civic Center from 11 a.m. until 
services at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Ibert's Memorial Park in Patterson.

Smith is survived by his wife, Billie Joyce Augustine-Smith; two sons, Kyle 
Stephen Smith and Kenny Lance Smith, both of Patterson; two daughters, Kim Marie 
Williams of Oakland, Calif., and Katrina Smith Thomas of Gray; three brothers, 
Arthur James Smith and Hilliard Smith Jr., both of Patterson, and Edward Alfred 
Smith of Barstow, Calif.; three sisters, Shirley Smith May, Mary Louise Smith 
and Delores Smith, all of Patterson; five grandchildren; and a host of relatives 
and friends.

Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
