Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. John Stockstill, the former Jane Case, 89, at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Bullock officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday May 12, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and again Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time. A native of Bayou Chene and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Stockstill was a member of the Lafayette Chapter #46 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Iberia. Survivors include two sons, Donald Stockstill and wife, Paula, of New Iberia and Glenn Stockstill and wife, Paulette, of Houma; four sisters, Bessie Landry of New Iberia, Fern Theriot of Kingswood, Texas, Bernice Theriot of Centerville and Joy Weathers of Morgan City; grandchildren, Kimberly LaBiche, Mitzi, Kevin, Jason, Brian and Sean Stockstill; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stockstill; parents, Jessie and Bertha Larson Case; one sister, Augusta Case; and three brothers, Eddie, Jessie Jr. and Murphy Case. Pallbearers will be Brian, Sean, Kevin and Michael Stockstill, Floyd Curry, Mike LaBiche, Eddie Case and Arthur Landry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons.
