Novel "Cowboy" Debourice Gentry, 85, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen, MS. He was born Sept. 8, 1924 to William Neal Gentry and Grace Thompson Gentry in Pontotoc, MS. He lived the past 65 years in Monroe County, retired after 38 years as a Road Grader Operator for 4th District Monroe County and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Services will be Tuesday, May 25, at 11 a.m., in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen, with Bro. Mark Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Mr. Gentry is survived by two sons, Danny P. Gentry and wife, Lynn, of Aberdeen, MS and Stephen D. Gentry and wife, Joyce, of Baldwin; one sister, Clestine Newell of Tupelo, MS; one brother, Alton Gentry and wife, Norma, of Universal City, TX; four grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virtie Mae Tutor Gentry; one son, William Neal Gentry; one sister, Elsie Graves; three brothers, Burnice, Bonnie and James Gentry. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, May 24 at the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen. ===================
