Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2010/sm1005.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Mrs. Pauline Boudreaux Compton, 78, a native of Charenton and a resident of Franklin died, Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 10:16 p.m. at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia. Mrs. Pauline is survived by one daughter, Paula Compton Deslatte of Centerville; two sons, John å'Ripå' Compton and his wife, Barbara, of Franklin, and Bob Compton and his wife, Janet, of Aberdeen, South Dakota; six grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, and Annie Compton, Darelle and Darren Deslatte, and Shane Compton; four step grandchildren, Melissa Allison and David Akers, and Kayla and Katie Strubb and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eulalie and Manville Boudreaux; her husband, Bobby Joe Compton; one sister, Yvette Boudreaux; three brothers, Wilma Boudreaux, Bobby Boudreaux, and Maxie Boudreaux and her son-in-law Kelly C. Deslatte. Pauline was a 1950 graduate of St. John. She worked for 27 years for the St. Mary Parish School Food Service at Foster Elementary. She loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was a joy to be with and a shame to be without. The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday, March 10, 2010 from 10am until time of services at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin. A rosary will be prayed at 1:30pm at the Church of the Assumption. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 10th at 2pm at the Church of Assumption with Father Lloyd Benoit officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Compton, Rip Compton, Shane Compton, Joshua Compton, Darren Deslatte, and Brent Boudreaux. The Compton family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Nugent, Dr. Rinaldi, and his oncology staff, as well as Franklin Home Care for their special care and concern. ===================
