Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2010/sm1005.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, May 17, 2010, at 3:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin for Rosine Melancon Anderson, 92, a native of Jeanerette and former longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at 4:50 PM at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Billy Ruskoski will conduct the services. Mrs. Rosine was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed camping and fishing, and was a former Pink Lady volunteer at Franklin Foundation Hospital. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Assumption. Mrs. Rosine is survived by two sons, Alton E. Anderson, Jr. and his wife, Carol Batey Anderson, of Rayne, and Carl J. Anderson of Jupiter, FL; one daughter, Lois Anderson Lucas of Lydia; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton "Happy" Anderson, Sr.; a son, Richard John Anderson; her parents, Edward Melancon, Sr. and Noelie Druilhet Melancon; one brother, Edward Melancon, Jr.; two sisters, Marjorie M. Landry and Lois A. Melancon; son-in-law, William E. Lucas; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Kadluboski Anderson. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Monday, May 17, at Ibert's Mortuary from 12:00 PM until Mass time. Memorial donations may be made in Ms. Rosine's name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
