Sidney Hunter, age 50, died at 9:40 AM at his residence in Lafayette from a long 
illness.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 25 at the Siracusa Recreation Center in 
Siracusaville, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow 
in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Sidney is survived by his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Hunter Gray of Lafayette; two 
sons, Sidney Washington of Thibodaux and Sampson McKinley of Berwick; four 
brothers, Grant (Justine) Wesley of Patterson, Joseph (Laura) Hunter and Melvin 
(Leora) Hunter, both of Lafayette, and Minister Benny Earl (Floydell) Hunter of 
Morgan City; seven sisters, Mrs. Stella (Clifton) Lewis of Verdunville, Doris 
Wiggins of Belle Rose, Mrs. Margaret (Arthur Lee) Dugar and Mrs. Wanda (Raymond) 
Jackson, both of Houston, TX and Linda Dearing, Mary Helen Hunter and Frankie 
Hunter (James Byrant), all of Lafayette; four grandchildren; and a host of 
relatives and friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City.
